These terms govern your use of the AIU.ac website and your enrolment on courses and certifications provided by Artificial Intelligence Uni Ltd (AIU.ac) (“AIU”, “we”, “us”). By using this site or enrolling, you agree to these terms.

Supplier and payment collection

The programme is supplied by Artificial Intelligence Uni Ltd (company number 14543918), registered at Crown House, 27 Old Gloucester Street, London WC1N 3AX (“AIU”, “we”). All payments are received into accounts held in AIU’s own name. In the event that AIU designates an alternative collecting account, payments may be received by XEROTECH Ltd (company number 14474495) acting solely as a disclosed collecting agent for AIU; in every case your contract is with AIU and all invoices and receipts are issued in AIU’s name.

Using this website

You may use this site for lawful purposes only. You must not misuse it, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or use content from it for commercial purposes without our permission. Content on this site is owned by or licensed to AIU and is protected by intellectual-property law.

Accounts

Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

Application and provisional place

Submitting an application and paying the programme fee forms a contract with AIU subject to verification. On payment you receive a provisional place. Your place is provisional until we have verified the information in your application, which we aim to complete within 5 working days. Verification may include identity checks, review of your professional profile, and screening required by law. If we are unable to confirm your place, we will refund your fee in full within 5 working days of our decision.

Scholarship tier

Where you have applied for the AIU Access Scholarship, the applicable tier is fixed by the date and time your application is submitted (23:59 UK time on the closing day of each tier). Scholarship eligibility is confirmed before payment is requested. Scholarship awards are limited and are not guaranteed.

Admissions discretion

AIU may decline any application, or revoke a provisional place, at its discretion and is not obliged to give reasons. Every such decision is made or confirmed by a member of AIU’s admissions team. Where an application is declined by AIU, any fee paid is refunded in full. Where a provisional place is revoked for applicant fault, the fee is refunded less the £77 administration fee, as set out below and in the Refund Policy. AIU applies its Non-Discrimination Policy to all admissions decisions.

Grounds for revocation

Without limiting the above, a provisional place may be revoked where: information provided in the application is found to be false, materially inconsistent, or artificially generated; identity cannot be verified; the applicant previously withdrew after enrolment or was previously excluded from an AIU programme; supply is prohibited by applicable UK sanctions or export control law; fraud is suspected; or the applicant does not meet the eligibility conditions of the scholarship tier claimed and does not pay the applicable fee within 7 days of being notified.

Revocation for applicant fault

Where a provisional place is revoked because information provided in the application was false, materially inconsistent or artificially generated, identity could not be verified, supply is prohibited by applicable UK law, fraud is suspected, or the applicant was previously excluded, AIU refunds the fee paid less the £77 administration fee.

Recovery of fee reductions

Where a fee reduction was obtained on the basis of false or misleading information, AIU may recover the amount of the reduction as a debt, in addition to its other rights under these terms.

Legal restrictions

We are unable to accept applications where UK sanctions, export control, or anti-money-laundering law prohibits us from supplying our services. All applicants are screened against the UK OFSI consolidated list and applicable UK regimes.

Cancellation right

You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days of the day on which payment is made, without giving reason, and receive a full refund. To cancel, email billing@aiu.ac from the address used in your application, or use the model cancellation form in Schedule 3 to the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, or any clear statement. Enrolment closes 14 days before the cohort commences, so no service is supplied during your cancellation period. Refunds after the 14-day period, and on or after commencement, are governed by our Refund Policy.

Deferral

In cases of hardship you may request, in writing by the end of week 4 of the cohort, deferral of your place to a later cohort of the same programme and level, as set out in the Refund Policy. Deferral is discretionary, once only, and subject to availability.

Changes to courses

We may change scheduled dates, format, or content where reasonably necessary, and will give you reasonable notice. If a change is significant and you do not wish to continue, we will offer a transfer or a refund of fees paid for the affected course.

Certification

Certification is awarded on meeting the published assessment requirements. A course place does not guarantee certification. Assessment, results, and appeals are governed by the terms provided with the relevant programme.

Conduct and integrity

You agree to complete all assessed work yourself, to comply with the AIU Academic Integrity and Conduct rules issued on enrolment, and not to share, resell or redistribute course materials. Use of unfair means, impersonation, plagiarism, harassment of staff or learners, or any fraudulent act may result in immediate suspension and, following a review in which you are given the opportunity to respond, exclusion from the programme. Where exclusion occurs before commencement, the fee paid is refunded less the administration fee stated in the Refund Policy; where it occurs after commencement, no refund is due and any credential may be withheld or revoked.

Third-party and partner courses

Where we link to courses on third-party platforms, your purchase and contract are with that provider, not with AIU, and are subject to the provider’s own terms. See our Affiliate Disclosure.

Our responsibility

We provide our courses and site with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that are not a foreseeable result of our breach, and our total liability in connection with a course is limited to the fees you paid for it. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

Privacy

We handle personal data in line with our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident outside England and Wales, you may also benefit from mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence, and nothing in these terms limits them. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer. We may update these terms from time to time; the version published here applies to your use of the site and any new enrolment.
